How it works (simple + structured)

This is the system that builds calm behaviour first, then reliability, then freedom.

1

Assessment

We identify the real drivers of behaviour and choose the right intensity.

2

Foundations

Engagement, structure, boundaries, obedience basics, calm state.

3

Behaviour change

Neutrality around triggers, impulse control, reliable decision-making.

4

Owner transfer

Weekly handovers + homework so results hold at home.

Training focus (built for real life)

We use real environments and controlled setups to build reliability — not “perfect training on a quiet field”.

  • Confidence building & socialisation
  • Neutrality around distractions
  • Engagement, focus & motivation
  • Sit / Down / Stay (distance control)
  • Loose-lead walking / calm heel
  • Recall as a priority
  • Real-world manners on & off lead
  • Calmness + switching arousal on/off
  • Rules, boundaries & impulse control
  • Structured play as a relationship tool

Recent wins (real dogs • real change)

These aren’t “a little better”. These are the kind of transformations where people comment saying they can’t believe it’s the same dog.

Bruce

Giant Schnauzer
Day 1 → Day 4

Biting his owner, lunging and biting, pulling hard, disobedient and out of control — recall was basically non-existent.

Calm, balanced lead walking, 100% recall, high level obedience and non-reactive. People commented they couldn’t believe it was the same dog.

Impulse control Lead manners Recall
Watch Bruce: Day 1 → Day 4

Diva

Rottweiler
Connection built

Strong-headed, totally disconnected from her owners, pulled like a freight train, highly reactive to other dogs, very defiant.

Diva is now engaged, a joy to walk on lead, 100% recall, neutral to other dogs, and genuinely enjoyable to live with.

Neutrality Loose lead Engagement

Kip

Welsh Collie
Confidence rebuilt

Reactive to everything, nervous and insecure. Aggressive to dogs, people, horses and livestock; wanted to attack vehicles. Lunging, barking, snarling, snapping. Recall unreliable and never off-lead in public.

Enjoyable loose-lead walks, 100% recall, neutral around external stimuli that previously triggered reactions, and confidence massively improved.

Confidence Reactivity Proofing

If you want proof beyond video, I’m happy to connect you with clients so you can hear outcomes first-hand.

Board & Train vs One-to-Ones (straight truth)

One-to-ones can be great — but they’re slower because progress relies on owners replicating timing, consistency, and decision-making perfectly at home. Most people can’t do that at first (and that’s normal).

Board & Train is most certainly better for the majority of dogs with behavioural issues — because your dog gets professional consistency, daily structure, and coaching that pivots immediately when problems arise.

Cost-wise, it’s a fair comparison: 50 weekly one-to-ones at £60/hour = £3,000 over a year — and that’s before you factor in your travel time, fuel, and the value of your own time. The 4-week intensive is £3,000 total, with faster progress and more stable outcomes because your dog gets professional consistency.

FAQs

Is Day Board & Train better than weekly one-to-ones?

Yes — in most cases it’s clearly better. Behaviour change requires consistency and correct timing. With Board & Train your dog gets professional coaching every training day, so progress is faster, more stable, and you avoid constant backtracking.

What package should I choose?

If your dog has behavioural issues (reactivity, chasing, over-arousal, poor recall), the 4-week intensive is the strongest option. If you’re building foundations and routine, the 5 days/week (1 hour/day) package is a great starting point.

Do I get handovers and support?

Yes — weekly handovers, clear homework steps, and WhatsApp support are included. You’ll know exactly what to do so the results hold at home.

When is Residential Board & Train available?

It’s being added shortly. If you want residential, enquire now and I’ll prioritise you for the first available slots.

Ready for the version of life you actually want with your dog?

Send your dog’s age, breed, and your main challenges. I’ll tell you the best structure (days/week + hours/day) to get results quickly.
